Books

Anyone who had ever gone to school with me knows by now that I love books and love reading. I'm not to sure what this article is about, I just writing what comes to mind. I have just finished two amazing books called "The Talisman" and "Blackhouse" both are written by Stephen King and Peter Straub. The two books are prequel and sequel and are probably the best books I have ever read. If I were to tell you what they were about, it would not do them justice but I'll try.

"The Talisman" is about a young boy named Jack who is taken to a hotel in an empty town by his dying mother. He meets an old black man named Speedy Parker who tells him he can save his mother. Jack then proceeds to travel to other worlds, (with the help of Speedy's "magic juice") meet new friends and battle the forces of evil whilst in search of the revered "Talisman". On his way, he is trapped working in a run-down bar, meets Wolf, a sweet and simple-minded werewolf, joins forces with his old pal Richard and traverses the radioactive Blasted Lands. Will he reach the talisman? Find out by reading he book!

In "Black House", Jack is all grown up and has become an extremly successful policeman only to retire at a very early age because he was shaken by one of his cases. He remembers nothing of his childhood adventure but has been receiving signs by his old friend Speedy Parker to help him remember. This is happening because there is a cannibal/murderer nick-named "The Fisherman" running loose in his small town in Wisconsin. Jack must find the villian who turn out to be much more than just a cannibal and murderer by using an evil house (blackhouse) as a portal to another world. Will Jack and his friends stop The Fisherman and save countless children from slavery? Find out by reading the book!

Right now I'm reading another good book called "The Husband" by Dean Koontz it's about a gardener who receives a phonecall from men who have taken his wife. They say that in sixty hours they want 2 million for his wife but on the man's small garderner's sallary, that amount is impossible. How far will a man go to get back a loved one? I can't wait to see, how about you?
